Title: SQL Server DBA and Development Operations Engineer Duration: 12 Month Contract with possible extension Location: Sunnyvale, CA Project Description: We are seeking to hire a SQL Server DBA and Development Operations Engineer that has 6+ years? experience with Database administrative skills (Microsoft SQLServer/Other) and Development Operations (DevOps) skills. Responsibilities: · Develop and administer SSIS & SSRS interfacing jobs to interact with databases through external tools/systems · Apply database technology to business problems and provide solutions mapped to business/user and application development needs · Monitor systems performance, protocol compatibility, ensure capacity planning is accomplished, and perform systems tuning · Manage systems and servers for various platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, Andriod & iOS) · Design and build IT monitoring solutions. Script custom application and hardware monitoring agents · Deploy custom and out of box monitoring agents · Develop & maintain software & test environments · Own and improve (automate) our Continuous Integration, Continuous Development processes, tools and infrastructure. · Create and maintain virtual machines and cloud instances Requirements: · � Â Â Â Â Â Experience with development and production database environment ·        Solid understanding in administration and managing large enterprise SQL database environments ·        Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices ·        Ability to create SSIS & SSRS interfaces ·        Ability to develop stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and views in support of interfacing systems ·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to resolve complex issues ·        Familiarity with change management techniques, tools, and stages of the project's full life cycle ·        Ground-level  understanding of mobile platforms (Andriod, iOS etc) ·        Linux, Windows,Mac systems administration. ·        Expert in Advance Scripting (Shell, Powershell, Python, Ruby & Perl) ·        Basic programming ability (e.g. Java,.Net etc) is a plus ·        Experience of CI/ CD process & tools (e.g. Jenkins) ·        Expert in Virtualization techniques like VMWare ·        Understanding of Cloud instances work ·        Understand how the web "works".
