To strengthen our marketing analytics team, we are looking for a Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing Analytics, to primarily support the C2C (getting consumers to sell) side of the business. This role will report to the Director, Integrated Marketing Analytics based in San Jose, California, USA.
Primary Job Responsibilities
The Marketing Finance & Analytics team at eBay partners with eBay’s global marketing function providing thought leadership, actionable insights & financial stewardship to accelerate eBay’s growth. The candidate will need to take a data driven approach to planning, analyzing and optimizing seller acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns. Campaigns will largely span internet and direct marketing channels, and may include some broadcast. Use data driven conclusions to influence and support strategic marketing decisions; provide analyses to drive segmentation, targeting and CRM, and determining how to improve the mix of marketing programs to move the business forward
Assess the impact marketing has on the business unit; develop globally consistent analytical frameworks and metrics to measure ongoing business performance, understand key drivers, improve marketing ROI’s and maximize marketing’s contribution to growth
Drive optimization through a robust test and learn agenda
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop relevant business cases to drive step change within eBay’s Marketplaces business unit
Provide technical expertise in data mining, measuring business performance and research using advance mathematical, statistical and experimental tools & techniques
Partner with finance, analytics & technology teams to expand eBay’s marketing analytics tools & data infrastructure to enable more robust and consistent cross-channel performance evaluation; specifically, help evolve eBay’s marketing reporting to include a campaign view (vs. channel)
Build, develop and lead a team of 2-3 highly effective analysts to support marketing initiatives at eBay
Work with global cross functional teams on ad-hoc business projects
Lead best practices sharing with analysts and managers located across the world
Drive innovation in one of the top brands on Internet with the help of cutting edge technologies Job Requirements - Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in finance, analytics, marketing and technology on planning & execution of eBay’s analytics roadmap
Ability to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic/changing environment
Highly analytical, strategic, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for understanding the business implications of analytic results
Superior communication skills – verbal, written & presentation skills. Ability to transition seamlessly from complex analytics to simple/precise business implications
Proven track record working effectively with senior, mid-level and junior colleagues to drive results across a broad organization and diverse set of businesses. Successful candidates must have the confidence, interpersonal awareness, and poise to work effectively with business and finance leaders, internally and externally.
Possessing good judgment and mature decision-making skills. Diplomatic yet assertive, with an ability to push back when needed and to know when to follow up with others.
Hands-on, resourceful and a doer. Able to work autonomously but also operate as part of a strong, cohesive team.

Having a personality that people warm to and a sense of humor built on a foundation of personal integrity, humility and an appreciation for the power of team-work Basic Qualifications - MBA or other relevant Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business, or Mathematics required
8+ years experience in marketing analytics, including at least 2 years handling customer data in Internet, or a top-tier consumer-focused company (in technology, consumer goods or retail domain)
3+ years experience managing teams
A multi-national, public company background. The ideal candidate will combine experience in a larger company with experience in smaller, more nimble organizations with broad exposure
