Details of talk:
Seldom do we engineering & technical leaders in Silicon Valley push our chairs back and really reflect on our roles in our social systems and communities, whether it be within the valley, the nation, or the world. We affect and shape the world in significant ways with our teams, our products, and the ways we create and deliver them. Few people can put this into perspective as well as Douglass Carmichael, whose extensive travel and experience has taken him to many "corners" of the world, and into many fascinating conversations. Let's explore how Silicon Valley's role in the recent past positions us to play a role in the new economy, and how that economy might take shape, and how we can understand our role in that evolution. Sam Hahn will interview Douglass Carmichael in this perspective-broadening conversation. Doug will offer surprising possibilities and insights to what lies ahead. More Info:
